Carolina Street Cats

Carolina Street Cats is a local volunteer-run organization dedicated to advocating for TNR, which stands for trap, neuter, and return. Our cause aims to combat the issue of feral cat overpopulation by breaking the breeding cycle. By implementing TNR in our community, we are not only saving lives but also reducing shelter intakes, therefore decreasing the need to euthanize cats. This work is extremely beneficial for all cats, and especially those not fit for caring for their young.

Our work consists of catching community cats and taking them to a veterinarian for spaying or neutering before releasing them back to their home. In addition to sterilization, we frequently provide necessary medical treatment for these cats, addressing issues such as worms, viruses, and more.

This work is extremely important, but pretty costly. To date, have successfully spayed and neutered hundreds of cats, and in the process, helping countless community members that had nowhere else to turn when overrun by community cats.

As passionate volunteers, we are actively fundraising to continue supporting and saving our community cats. To contribute to our cause, we are selling specially-designed shirts created by a local artist. These shirts feature some of the cats we have rescued, serving as a reminder of the impact that this work has ❤️!!
